HOW DO YOU HANLDE BAD NEWS ? BY BRIAN LEEMAN

As a Christian how do handle  bad news or tragedy's  ? Well let me tell me story about man who got the worst news of his life.


This is story of  a man named  creed who just got the worst news of his life .

Creed is a 35 year old man who works at a  meat packaging factory  in his hometown. He is is a husband and a father of two beautiful  5 year old twin girls.
 Creed is a Christian  that  attends church every sunday  and bible study every Wednesday. He considers his faith in God to be strong  but how will his faith in God stand against the worst news he could ever get .

Creed is working his normal  15 hour shift at the factory , when on his break he gets a phone call from his pastor  that  changes his life forever.

His pastor says " Creed , I don't how to tell you this but your wife and your twin were killed in car accident . they were hit by a drunk driver  , he is going  to live .

Creed  drops the phone and rushes to the hospital  to find what the pastor told him was true .
That Creed goes home  an try to hold in the pain and get the funerals planned for his wife and kids but he can't hold it in anymore.

Creed drops to his  knee's  and cry's  out to God and say's " Why God ?! Why!!!!!!!!"

"What have I done to deserve this  ? " " Please take me God , I don't want o live with out them !"


The day of funeral comes and after the funeral the pastor pull's Creed aside .

Pastor Ask's how Creed is dealing with this tremendous loss .

Creed says "  I feel so numb and don't to deal with this  in the right way.  I mean why di the driver get to live ? How fair its it he is only getting 3 years in jail ?!! Why did God take my wife kids away from me?"

The Pastor answers " Creed, I don't why this your Wife or kids  left this earth too soon or why the drunk driver lived or got a light sentence. But Creed lets look at the bible for some answers and comfort."  Lets look at Ecclesiastes Chapter eight verse seventeen : " ¹⁷ then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.

The Pastor say's to Creed " Creed , we cannot comprehend why allows bad stuff to happen to his People , not even the wisest can comprehend why bad stuff happens .  But Listen to this verse: 

Ecclesiastes 3:17:  I said to myself,

“God will bring into judgment
    both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity,
    a time to judge every deed.”

The pastor's say"s to creed " That  Driver will have to answer to God one day but Creed you will have to also.

Creed say's " what do you mean by that ?

The pastor answers Creed "  Lets look at 

Matthew 6:14-15 : ¹⁴ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The pastor says " Creed , even though it hurts right now , you will have to forgive the driver because God forgave you and everyone deserves forgiveness ."

Creed hugs the pastor and goes home .

Two weeks later at a alter call , Creed lets go of his anger and hatred toward the diver and forgives the driver .

Creed never got to meet the driver  but he prays everyday that the driver will repent and give his life to Jesus.

This is just a story but so much truth in how we must handle bad news or tragedy  in this life .  We don't why God allows bad things like this to happen to His people  but we must faith god has a plan and that he is in control.  We must also forgive people because God forgave us.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE TRAYVON MARTIN CASE BY BRIAN LEEMAN

It's one in the morning and I can't sleep . The verdict from this  case just blows my mine !

At first  I thought  well i don't all the evidence , so i couldn't say he was nor innocent.
Then  i read up on case and i have to say............  SCREW FLORIDA'S JUSTICE SYSTEM  AND THE PEOPLE WHO RUN IT !!!!!
  Lets look at the facts : 1. zimmerman was neighborhood watch guy not a cop!!!!!  Just because you are  part of neighborhood watch  does not mean you have rights cop  .  you duty as a neighborhood wath member is to watch and report suspicious activity  , not get involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. he was told  not get out of his car ! so there was no reason for him to  get out his car .

3.   Sanford Police Department's homicide detective Christopher Serino recommends Zimmerman be charged with manslaughter. 
Zimmerman "failed to identify himself" as a concerned citizen or neighborhood watch member on two occasions that night. Serino reports that he thought Zimmerman's head injuries were "marginally consistent with a life-threatening episode, as described by him, during which neither a deadly weapon nor deadly force were deployed by Trayvon Martin. So how  is Trayvon responsible for his  own death ?

I do not think zimmerman that day said i am going to kill a 17 year old  kid today  but i do think zimmerman  had no right  to go after Tryavon. Zimmerman should be in jail !

I do hope one day zimmerman will truth one day , so trayvon's folks can have  a little peace. 

 

This Is Your 15 seconds of Fame ! by BRIAN LEEMAN

Have you have heard of the saying or term 15 seconds of fame ?

15 Seconds of Fame is short-lived media publicity or celebrity of an individual or phenomenon.

With all the reality shows like the jersey shore, 16 & Pregnant, the real world , and so many more, people  see these shows have achieving fame or the attention they think they need.
But is really worth it?

Let me tell you story  about  a girl called amy  who just wanted to be  seen.

Amy is a 19 year old girl  who grew up in the suburbs of  Vermont with a loving family of 6.

Growing up Amy felt  like she was  never giving enough attention  as she is the middle child of six .  She got the good grades in school, always volunteered at her church , and excelled in sports . Even though her folks , friends, youth pastor , and  pastor  give her praise , she doesn't feel like she is being seen.
 Amy's friend  Kate one day tells Amy about a show called What will you do for 50,000 dollars? that is doing auditions. Kate says to Amy " we try  to get on the show , sounds like fun !'
Amy see's this as a way  to to get the attention she so desperately wants , so the next day  Amy  and Kate go to the auditions .

Amy get's a spot on the show but kate does not.   Kate congrats Amy  and says " i know you will do great !".

The next week Amy starts taping for the show , little did she know what she was getting into.

The show's concept is simple , how far and what will do for 50,000 dollars.

The first challenge Amy had to do was eat  10 earth worms with hot sauce for 10,000 dollars , she did and got the 10,000 dollars .


The 2nd challenge  Amy had to  do was   ride a bull for 20,000 dollars ,  she did  and got the 20,000 dollars .

The third challenge Amy  had to do was   lie in a tub of  snakes for 5 mins   for 30,000 dollars , she did and  got the 30,000 dollars .

The fourth challenge Amy had to do was   survive   5 mins with a boxer  for 40,000 dollars , she did and got the  the 40,000 dollars ,

 The final challenge  Amy had to do was strip and dance for 50,000 dollars . Now Amy has to Make choice , do this challenge, get the 50 grand , and lose all respect  or walk away and  keep her self respect .   Amy chooses to do the challenge and gets the 50,000 grand. Amy lose's  respect  from everyone but she thinks  at least i am seen now .

Now this is just a story  but  it is common story and  theme .people today want to be loved and seen by any means  and to  me that is sad .

Matthew 11:28 says " ²⁸ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Isaiah 55:1 says " 55 
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
    come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
    come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without cost."

 Jesus  does not care if you are rich , poor,  famous,  fat , skinny, a drug addict , etc. He just cares that you repent  and come to him . Jesus   just wants to love you. 

WHY CHRISTIAN HIP HOP IS BETTER BY BRIAN LEEMAN

I know by this title  this statement is  going to rub some people the wrong way  but i have to speak the whole truth and nothing but truth so help me God.
I  want  made one thing clear , i am to writing this to put down Mainstream Hip-Hop but to hopefully help people realize  that   God, Good Morals, and real talk belong in Hip-Hop.
I want to start off how I fell in love with hip hop but let make it clear God is my first love .


The first hip hop song i heard was Notorious B.i.G.'s Juicy, It blew mind  how he could  tell a story and make me feel i was there. right then and there i fell in love with hip hop.  That song came out in  "94  when i was  five , so i have been hop hop nerd  for 21 years.

I have listened to hip hop all my life  and when i got saved i stopped listening to hip hop because at the time i did not know about Christian hip hop . Well when i went to a bible college in Maine  i met one of best friends sam . Sam introduced me to Lecrae  , Trip Lee,  Flame and so many more.  I could not believe how dope theses rappers are and how much truth were in  theses songs. I was hooked and from that day  i wanted to share to everyone that Christian hip hop is were were real hip hop lives.

A couple months ago  I got curious about  were mainstream hip hop was at ( side note: the only time i listen to mainstream hip hop  is when cars go by my place or somebody is playing it, which i try to avoid ) .
 I have to say.........  WHAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

  Yes when i when i was growing  Hip hop  had bad moral's liars, and materialistic rappers but they were true mc's and cared about there music. Now it seems rapper s can say what they want on song and  doesn't have to rhyme , an it will sell . To me thats messed up !

An what really makes me sad is that theses rappers these day have become so fake !
For example Rick Ross, he was a Correction Officer and plus he raps about being a big time drug dealer but never sold a gram in his life.  To me , a former drug dealer , thats  me mad because he is glorifying dealing and making it seem like it a wonderful thin when its  not.  Dealing drugs can put money in your pocket  but it mostly brings misery and death.

Then you got rappers like future  were i have no gule if they are a rapper or a singer.
In my opinion, you are either a rapper  or a singer , period.

Now not saying Christian hip hop is perfect , i mean we have some christian rapper that will use the n word or cruse in there lyrics, which i think is wrong.  But at least they are real and are tryin to help this generation see the God's love  and tryin to help  them live the right way .



The main reason i think Christian hip hop is better is that they are real  and bring glory to Jesus.
I can  listen to Christian hip hop with any age group and not have to be embarrassed of the lyrics .


This is my opinion , it up to you to come with you own but do me a favor  look up Lecrae, trip lee, flame, tedashii,  shia line, stephen the levite,  young noah,  and dre the flame. i could give you more but i want you to listen th theses rapper's and here some dope hip hop.
