The Road I'm On By Brian Luke Leeman
The road i am on is a confusing one and seems to get rougher each day .
I have been this road before , why i am on this road for second time ?
I try to walk this road with a positive attitude but rain clouds keep appearing ,
This Road seems to have so many twist and turns , when does it become straight ?
This Road is taking a toll on mind and body , some rest would be nice.
I cry daily on this Road , my tears have become my refuge .
I call out to the owner of this road for help but i hear nothing but silence.
This Road i walk has to go some were right ?
I take a breath and continue to walk this road with hope that there will be a rest stop sooner or later .

Who Am I?
The past 3 or four days i have been wrestling with Question who am i ?
I am 25 without a career , i work at a k mart.
Not saying working k mart is the worst thing in the world , i just feel like i could be do better.
I know big part of me not having career is my fault because of my past and my mistakes , i accept that.
I just want to be able to say i did something with my life .
I feel at times by ship has passed , stupid right ? but thats how i feel.
Its not that have tired to better or go after my dreams , its just things tend not to work out for as planned but that's life.
Going back to college is not option for me
This is just me venting here , which is hard for me to do .
I don't want pity , so please don't give me any .

4. Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy
This show is just awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was funny and dark at the same time !
I love how Mandy was portrayed as the scary one when Grim is the Grim Reaper lol.
But Favorite Character form the show was irwin , he was painfully awkward !
But also really cool!
3. Ed, Edd, and eddy
This cartoon helped mold my imagination , one of the most creative cartoons ever !
my Favorite Character from the show was ed , he was so dumb but was funniest on the show.

LEEMANS VIEW ON MENTAL ILLNESS AND SUICIDE
So with Robin Williams death there is lot of mixed emotions that come with this because Robin committed suicide.
I have done a blog post on Depression before but i feel like i need to address this topic again because hurtful stuff i am hearing from people
I struggle with depression and i have tried to commit suicide once .
In January of 2010 , i was 7 months sober and a new Christian. I was having hard time dealing with some stuff from my past , so one i decided i couldn't take it anymore and took some of mom's pills an tried to kill my self. Well God had different plans for me , all the pills did was make see stuff that wasn't there. I really don't remember much but my mom told that i said i wanted to go to the hospital and i spent two weeks in the psych unit .
Now i still deal with depression but with my friends , family, my Girl Friend's love and support , and Relationship With Jesus , i don"t have to deal with depression alone
Three points i want to make clear about Depression :
1. Depression or mental illness is not a Sin !
2. you are lying if you say you have never been depressed !
3. Your not possed if have a mental illness !
I am tired of the ignorance showed by Christians towards their fellow Christians and towards non believers that deal with mental illness .
WE NEED TO LOVE ON THEM , NOT MAKE THEM FEEL WORSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
in closing , Christians, we need to deal with theses issue's in the right way , not the way we have been dealing with it for years !

TOP FIVE IDEAS TO HELP ATTRACT YOUTH TO YOUR CHURCH BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN
So my Mom wanted me to do a blog post on how to attract Youth to come to Church .
So here is my top five ideas to attract youth to come to Church .
5. Be real with them!
Don't put on a act for them , they will smell your phoniness a mile away!
Don't sugar coat your messages , they may not like what you have to say all the time but they will respect your honesty .
Don't try to be there mom or dad for them , not saying that you shouldn't be authority figure in their life but they don't need another mom and dad in their life's.
4.Have Strong Leaders !
You leaders in your youth group need to be on the same page as you , have a passion for youth , and have to have a strong relationship with Jesus ( not saying you have to be perfect ) .
You need to make it known to your leaders that is a privilege to be a leader not a right .
3. Small Groups!
Now Small Groups are good for when you have ten or more in your youth group .
Small Groups helps your youth to get to know the leaders , you , and the youth better , an it helps them have a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Small groups help answer Questions the might have about their faith .
2. Have events for the youth!at don;t normally come to church
A big thing to have youth come to your church is having events .
A church i was a leader at , we has a nerf gun event .
We had a time of worship and someone shared a message .
Then had snacks for them and then had awesome nerf war .
We had a lot kids that don't normally go to church or youth group ,
Event give your youth opportunity to bring their friends to church .
1. Jesus needs to be the center of it all!
The main thing for youth group to be successful is That Jesus is in control of your youth Group.
You main goal for youth group needs to be to lead youth to Christ and help them be disciples of Christ .
Let the Holy Spirit lead your youth group !
in closing , i leave you with this quote :
“Over the years I've found it much more helpful to follow the advice of Sister Liebert and seek to treat each young person as a teacher from God, someone God has placed in my life in order to help me grow in faith. When I encounter a young person, I find it much more helpful to think that she (or he) may be the only Jesus I'll ever know. Perhaps by seeking to encounter the presence of Christ in young people, we'll find ourselves better able to see them, hear them, feel compassion for them, and respond in kindness.”

LEEMAN'S VIEW ON THE ERIC GARNER
So I have been waiting for my anger to subside to point were i can share my view on the killing of Eric Garner .
That's right i said killing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have read up on this situation and saw the video , Nypd should be ashamed of themselves !!!!
I understand what the nypd was confronting him , apparently was selling loose cig's but that is no reason for the brutality That the nypd did.
The nypd used a choke hold on Eric that is illegal in NY , so why did theses officers use a hold that is banned ?
you want to know why ? because he was a 300 pound black man !!!!!!!
I know my super Conservative friends will say thats not true but guess what ? It's the truth!!!!!
It does not matter if you agree with me or not, Racism is still alive in America!!!!!!
Here is my other view on this situation : Forgiveness and Healing
The old me would love to see theses officer's pension taking away, get the crapped beat out of them or stoned .
But that is not what Jesus wants in this Tragedy , He wants us to find some way a peaceful way to find justice for this situation .
NYPd needs to ask forgiveness and find ways to heal theses wounds that have caused this pain
I am praying that Eric Garner's wife will able to find peace and some point forgive her husbands murderers.
So thats my 2 cents , what are your thoughts ?

YOU HAVE CHOICES !!!!! BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN
We all have choices in life , some good and some bad.
One of things that annoy's me about brothers and sisters in Christ is how they will blame other's for making them sin or want to stay in sin because they like the attention from people who are trying to help them with dealing with that sin . Or they like the feeling of being rescued .
So this is a short story called YOU HAVE CHOICES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Billy is a freshman in high school , he is plays for his high school football team and is the debate team captain.
Billy get's good grades and volunteers at a local nursing home, so pretty much he is a good rounded kid.
Billy is popular in his group of friends , so one Saturday night he had to make a choice , to be cool with friends or do the right thing .
One Saturday night Billy was hanging out with his group of friends at a bonfire , one of his friends pulled out a bag of pot and case of beer.
His Friend says: " let's get wasted guys ! "
Billy has never tried pot and has never had a beer in his life , he never felt he needed to that stuff to be cool.
Billy says : " no thanks bro "
His Friends start teasing him and egging him to join in.
Billy doesn't know what to do , he does not want to get wasted but he also does not like being teased by his friends .
So Billy has a choice to get wasted to friends and be cool or do the right thing and say no .
Billy decides to say no and leaves the bonfire .
You see billy knew he had a choice and knew if he got wasted with his friends , he could lose all things he worked for .
So in closing , we choose to sin , no one can make sin !!!!

Fall is one of my favorite season's, the coolness in the air , the leaf's changing , and hot cider all are what fall means to me.
An for some reason the fall makes me want to write , there has to some type of magic to fall .
Also fall means kids go back to school , for me that means the neighborhood kids will not be around for six hours :)
I simply just can't wait for fall!

Leeman's view on modesty ! by brian luke leeman
This is issue of modesty in Christianity is highly debated issue , so i thought i would give my view on this issue .
I am probably going to offend the old school Conservative stiff Christians but I have to speak the truth and nothing but the truth !
I went to a bible school were we couldn't wear certain clothing because it would cause our fellow students to fall in temptation .
I will admit certain things guys or ladies should not wear but some of the rules were crazy !!
For example, Guys could not wear shorts unless you were going to gym play a sport or going to work out .
Another example , we had to do wear dress clothes to class for some crazy reason , so the ladies had to wear dresses ( knee's had to be covered ) .
I never got this bull crap , it never made sense that their thinking is that Christian's are one step from falling temptation because some girl's knees are showing or that guy wearing shorts in the public area is going send a girl into lust.
Now there are some thing's guys and gals should not wear , Ex. Guys: mankini's and EX. ladies : yoga pants, i am not going to name more , my next point will explain why .
What ever happen to self control and taking responsibility ?

27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control,[a] lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
We are suppose to have self discipline , which means reading the Bible and spending time in Prayer !
For some reason some Christians would rather be legalistic and not be self discipline and not take responsibility for there lust/fleshly desires .
Yow all remember how Adam put the blame on eve for giving him the apple from the tree ? Guess what ? Adam is was much to blame as Eve was !
Adam did not have to take or eat that apple ! he had a choice !
WE HAVE A CHOICE TO GIVE IN TO LUST !!!!!!!
now if you choose to wear dress clothes , long sleeved shirts , or jean skirts, more power to you but don't act like your way is the right way to dress as christian .
