Well here we are again New Year's Eve !
 Again we set  New Year's Resolutions  to hopefully better ourselves in the New Year , Key word : hopefully.

2013 was a interesting year  for me  and  year of growing also.

I got a job after 3 years   and then by faith i moved to Beaver Falls , PA.

This has been a amazing year for me and Can't wait what God has for me  in this New Year!

I would like to share five resolutions  that i hope to achieve in the New Year.


1.    Get Healthy

I know this is a common one but  I really need to lose this fat.



2.   Become a better writer

I love to write  and would love writing to be my career.


3.  Help end sex trafficking
There is  a lot of kids the get abused sexually and it breaks my heart that any child has to go through that.
I would like to become more  involved in helping this awful plague to end .

4.  Deal with my self esteem issues
I have a hard time liking myself or being ok with who i am as a person.

I want to be able to deal with theses issues and finally be ok with me .

5.  Have much more deeper relationship with Jesus

I have Grown lot i with Relationship with Jesus this year  but i want to go deeper .
I want to be more like Jesus in the New Year



My hope and prayer for all will read this is that you  never stop dreaming and Jesus is or becomes the center of your life!!!!

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO ME BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN

To some of you Christmas might  mean to you  getting gifts, spending time with family and friends , or watching your favorite Christmas movies or TV special's .

But to some of us it the day we celebrate  the birth of our savior Jesus Christ .

Now you might not know but Jesus was not born Christmas  .

The reason we do celebrate  Jesus's Birthday on Christmas day because  pagans  have there holiday on this day and the early Christians wanted  combat his evil feast/holiday.  So they chose the 25th  to celebrate Jesus birthday .  Jesus's  was most likely born in april . heres good article on this subject http://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-topics/new-testament/how-december-25-became-christmas/

But to the topic , i want share with you  what Christmas means to me .

Christmas to me means spending time with the people you love ,  showing kindness to those are in need , and the   most improtant  , Celebrating My savior's birth.

Here's a thought , why not do this all year around ?

Basically , This  is the way we should be living , Showing kindness to others  , spending time time with our love ones , and  celebrating Jesus .

 

My challenge to  you for this Christmas is to more of the giver then the receiver and show the love Christ 

NEW BEGINNINGS BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN

Well  in eleven days I start a new journey in Beaver Fall's  ,  PA.

I have to be honest ..........................   I AM STRESSED TO THE MAX!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong  I am excited  at the same time , It's just feel  like this might be my  last chance to  make something out of myself.

I want to be able to Fulfill God's call on life  and i feel  Beaver Fall's , Pa is  were I can do it .

I also feel bad because i am leaving a great place were learned  to I'm  capable of a l
to with God's help.
 I am going to Really miss my CCOFR family  !!!!!

You all hold a special  place win my heart !

I Really see CCOFR Growing  and I will pray Each day  that  CCOFR will Continue to Grow.


One the things is stressing me is i' am going to be able to relate the People at Edge wood Baptist.

I am a city boy  and i know moving into country folk's territory  ,  YEAAHAW!

Never been hunting before , i guess there's a first for everything !


With me moving to PA , it means i am further away from my family.  :(

I have not been home in seven  months and probably will a mother seven be fore i get go home again .
I really miss my mom and dad , my Grandparents , my brother , and the rest of my family.

I really wish i could be home for the holidays but sometimes you have to make sacrifice's in order to get some were in this life .

I hope my family understand's , i know my folks and my brother do.


I know this is a dream but it would nice if in PA i could find a wifey to spend the rest of life with.

4.   Customers are not always right !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of customers thinking that because of the pharse "  the customer  is always right " that they can treat cashiers like crap !
 Listen ,  Cashiers are human too and have feelings , so don't you think you customers could be a kind and not chew the cashier because they are doing there jobs ?

I understand because of you i get paid very week and i thank you  for that but it does not  give you  the right to be abusive !


all  i am  saying is  that,  Can't we just get a long ?

 My name  is Brian  and i'm addicted to egg nog during November and December .

Egg nog has been my favorite  since i was kid ,  to me it one of the staples that makes Thanksgiving and Christmas special.

1.  I love the Fall!

This is one of my favorite times o f the year ,  i love the fall foilage!

Tis time of year is wear God's  creation is awesome !

I AM NOT A FAN BY BRIAN LEEMAN

I have reading a book called not fan : Becoming a completely Committed  Follower Of Jesus. 

This book has blew my mind and heart !

It has made me rethink my walk with Jesus  and ask myself  , I'm just a fan ?

I mean I read my bible everyday , I volunteer at my church,  I have preached to youth groups and at friday night services at church, and i pray every day, but does that make me a follower or a fan ?

It makes me a fan  if  I do things out of  religious habit and because  I do it without Jesus in mind .

 

It makes me follower if I do this with intention of  Living passionately for Jesus  and not living for mans approval .

Matthew 16:24 says : 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Jesus Calls us to follow  him all the way  not 50%  of the time  !

In Revelation 3:15-16 :  15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

This was part of a letter to the Church of Sardis  but we can apply theses verses to our life's .

WE CAN'T BE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS ON SUNDAY AND THEN THE REST OF THE WEEK BE SAME AS EVERYONE ESLE IN THE WORLD !

IT'S JESUS OR NOTHING !

In Romans 12:2 it says : 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We should be aliens to non christians ,  WE SHOULD STAND OUT FOR CHRIST !

From this point on I will not be a fan of Jesus ,  I WILL A  FULL ON 1000% FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST !

WHY I LOVE THE 90'S ! BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN

Well If you are like me and grew up in the 90's , you lived in one of the best decades!

 For those  that did not grow up in the epic decade known as the 90's , you might be asking  " how is the 90's the best decade ?"

The reason the 90's is the best decade is simple : the music, the movies, the toys,  we actually played outside unlike this generation,   and  the books.

DEAR GOD , I AM AFRAID

DEAR GOD,

God,  I am writing this letter  to you because You are the only  one who will understand.

I am afraid of succeeding  and i don't understand why Lord.

I know with you I can do all things  If I lean on your understanding and not my own but then why I am afraid ?

Lord , I have been dealing  with my own view of my physical appearance.

I feel like no matter what i do  , i look like a fat  mess.

It seems if it does not matter if i am clean shaving  or have a nice hair cut  , that i am still  feel unattractive .

God ,  Next year I will be moving to PA.

I am really excited  but really scared , I just want this move to be my final move.

You I tend to mess up things when they finally go right , lord help me  not mess up this great opportunity.

i wan to be able to have stable life in PA and hopefully , hopefully, get married and have kids .

THE BIKE RIDE PART II

When I go on  a  bike rise , it tends to be the time i think about a lot .
So on a bike ride last week a load of things came to mind and would like to share with my thought's.




As I ride my bike  I think ,  Have Christians forgot about the USA? Don't they realize  America has poverty , sex trafficking,  and people with out homes too?
 Don't get me wrong i understand some people who have been called to foreign countries and third world countries.
I just see the hurt in America  and  I see how badly this country  needs Jesus.
I think it time we start looking at America  as a mission field too!!!


As I ride my bike i think,   Why do we let words hurts us ? 

I have been called everything in the book and yes i personally have let words hurt me .

what I have learned in this life is that yes words hurt but only when you give them power.
 Now I am not saying that have Io have become immune to negative word's from people but have learned  not to let people negative word's affect very time. you have to realize some people are just haters and move on !


As i ride my bike I think,   Why do we give up when it gets rough in our Christian walk ?

John 16: 1-7  says " 16 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. ² They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. ³ They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. ⁴ I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. 1 peter 5:10-11 says , ¹⁰ And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. ¹¹ To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

And James 1:2-4 says " ² Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,^[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³ because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. ⁴ Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

As Christians  we will   suffer  and face trials and  tribulations  but We have Jesus to comfort us and help us get thorough bad times .


As I ride  my bike i think ,  why do we give up on our Dreams so easily ?

I know our Economy is not the greatest right now but that should stop you from accomplishing your dreams! 
Yes it will take longer but it is so worth it !
Next year i will be moving to PA to start making some of my dreams come true.
I know have to put God first and work hard to make this happen .
I think we forget that we need to put God First  and working hard is What makes Dreams come true.

Before  I start  this letter , I want say i now a blogger has already done this but i wanted to do my own letter .

Dear Miley .

Hey Miley,  my name is Brian. 

I am writing this out of concern  for you , this letter is not to put you down but to hopefully  to help you realize that what have become is not good for you.

I saw your VMA performance and have to say  that was really sad .

What I got from your VMA performance ,  is cry out for help .

 I understand you were trying to make point that you are no longer Hannah montanta any more and you are a adult but why degrade yourself like that?

 Your so much better then what you did at the Vma's  ,  Can't you see that you don't have  to acy like this for people to take you seriously as an adult?

Weather you want to admit or not , the little girls that have followed you you're whole career still look up to you and see they why you are acting now as ok.  I know you are no their parents but you have some type of responsibility as a role model to theses young girls.

Miley, the most important reason i am writing this letter to is that my heart breaks for you.

I hate seeing young famous or non famous people throw their life's away.

I know you are probably smoking weed  but have feeling you are that molly too. 

Let me tell you this , you are heading down a path that leads to destruction , i know because for six years i was addicted to cocaine , weed ,oxy's , and was a alcoholic.

One i just tried of all of it and got sober and gave my life to Jesus.

 I want to take look at theses verses:  John 3:16 " ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Romans 6:23 " ²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in^[a] Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 3:23-24 " ²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

1 John 5:11-12  " ¹¹ And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Revelation 3:20 " ²⁰ Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."

Miley , Jesus loves you  and wants  you to know him .  It does not matter what you have done or have become , He just wants to love you Miley. Please come to Jesus and live.

 I know you wont see this but I hope if you do that will repent and give your life to Jesus .

WILL YOU WAIT FOR ME ? BY BRIAN LEEMAN

What will you do for that one person you can't live without ?  How long Would wait for that one person ?

This is a story about  a man named John  who had answer those question's himself  .



John is  20-something  Photographer who owns his own studio .
John is so love with  the way life is  right  now but feel's something is missing in his life.

John has a hard time when it comes to the ladies , he has had a girlfriend  but that didn't last long , mainly because he was too nice.

John comes home from  a photo shoot and   goes to his bathroom to wash up.

John splash's Cold water on his,  face  he look's into the mirror   an what he see's shock's him.

It' not his reflection of the most beautiful  Girl John has ever seen.

The Girl  in mirror looked shocked too and says " Who are you ? and how are you in my mirror ?"
John shocked and say's " I don't know.  What is your name ? "
 The girl in mirror answers back " Mandy. What is your name ? "

John answers " John.   were are you ?  I mean were are you from? "
 Mandy laughs and says  " Houston, Texas  , you? "
John answers " New York City.

John ask's Mandy " this might sound weird but what year is it were you are ? "
 Mandy Gives john a puzzled look and answers "   It's   2013 silly ! "

John shocked  and wonders how can that be .

John says to Mandy " um.... well were I am  its 2023 "

Mandy say's " what  ?!!?  This is  so weird! "

John and talk for hours  and then say Good bye .

This goes on for weeks , both John and Mandy start having feelings for each other .

One night  John  ask's Mandy " Do You love me ?"

Mandy answers "  Yes  John , with all my heart and soul I love you . "

John say's " I love you too Mandy. will you wait for me ?

Mandy answers back yes , even though in her she is 19  in 2013 and  John is 25 in 2023 , and by the time they would eventually meet  he would be older then her , she would wait from him no matter what.


John and Mandy meet  10 years later  and get married.

This is  just but would you do for the that one you could not live without ?

WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING REAL? BY BRIAN LEEMAN

Warning:  Read this blog at your own risk , I am serving  up some tough  Love and truth in this blog entry !


Lately I have been Frustrated  with my fellow Christians  ( I am talking about all Chritstians , not anyone specific)  , Because it seems to be a Sin  to Real and Honest , instead it has become ok to gossip  about people.

In Ephesians 4:29 , God's Holy Word says :" ²⁹ Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."


As Christians we should not be gossiping about anyone , weather they are not Christian or not  .
In God's eyes  Gossiping is considered  is unwholesome , which means not characterized by or conducive to health or moral well-being. In other word's , Gossiping does not make situations better  and does not help anyone , it tears people down.


I will admit i have Gossiped about people before  but  i have learned in my walk with Christ that  it  is better to leave some issues alone or make sure i have the facts and my heart is of God if i am going confront someone on something.


We should as brothers and sisters in Christ be able to talk to each other without having to talk behind there backs .


Another thing that bothers me is that the Christian community is on this idea that we are just suppose to love people and never correct people and leave people in there sins .

In Matthew 18:15-17 says : ¹⁵ “If your brother or sister^[a] sins,^[b] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. ¹⁶ But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’^[c] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.


 AN in Galatians 6:1 : Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

 The reason we need to confront falling Christians because in James 5:19-20 says : ¹⁹ My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back,²⁰ remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

We should never let our brothers and sisters in Christ  continue to backslide, why would would you want anyone you love to go to Hell?

Everyone likes to use  don't judge verse out of context ,  that verse does not mean to let people to continue in there sins.  you can see in Matthew 18:15-17, that  we are suppose to correct other Christians and it shows us the proper way of doing it and how to handle it properly .  But i Strongly believe in Galatians 6:1 , we  should correct gently and respectfully.

I Believe we to start being real with each other, stop being fake towards each other.
Now get me wrong , i don't we should be  correcting people  all the time , we need sure  God is with us when do correct each other and have discernment.

In closing i leave you with this verse from Proverbs 19:20 :   20 
Listen to advice and accept discipline,
    and at the end you will be counted among the wise. 

My Wish By Brian Leeman

 We all have wishes that we would like to see come true in this life time.
Well as far as I know  there is no Genies  that  grant  wishes in real life.
 But what If  Genies were real ? Would use your wishes  wisely ? an would it be worth it?

Well let's see what happens when  a  man called Blake meet's one .



Blake  is a cashier  at a local  grocery store were he lives  and is saving up his money to live in PA.
 Blake is  so excited  for the future  and the way his life is going right now,
 But Blake  hate's fact that he has to wait until  July of next year.


One day as Blake  just got off from work , he was walking home when a big  blinding flash of light hit right in front of Blake knocking him down.

Blake  get's up   see's a old man dressed like  a Circus ring Master. 
  The Old man look's at Blake with a puzzled look and says, :" Why do look like you have seen a Ghost  ? "   " I am that scary looking  young man ?

Blake Answers "  No  but you do realize you just appeared  out of nowhere? "  Who Are you ?"

The Old Man replies "  Well I guess you got me there !  The name is MAX , just Max."

" What I am ? Well i'm a Genie Blake. "


Blake can not believe what he  is hearing !  How is this possible ? Blake wonders how Max knows when they have not met before.

Blake Ask's Max " How do you know my name ?  an how i do i know that you are a Genie? "

Max laugh's and say's "  I don't , I just read your name on your name tag .   Well  I will just have  give you proof . "

Max snaps his fingers and a  stack of 500 of  20 dollar bills  out of nowhere appears in Blake's right hand . Then Max snap's fingers again the money is gone .


Blake is shocked and can not believe what just happened.
Blake thinks to himself . I guess this guy is for real .

Blake ask's Max " So do  i get three wishes or something ? "

Max answers "  Nope , You get Four ! "
Then max say's " Choose your wishes  wisely Blake !" 

Blake think's what to wish for  and Say's to Max " Is there any rules ? "

Max answers " only one , i can not undo wishes "

Blake ask's his first wish  " My first wish is  to have big house In PA"

Max snap's  fingers and say's your wish has been granted " and show's blake the house .

Blake is amazed , it is the house he always imagined  but for some reason he feel's guilty but pay's no mind to this feeling of guilt.

Max ask's " what is  your 2nd wish Blake? "


Blake ask's "  My 2nd wish is to have my dream Job as a writer "

Max  snaps his fingers and Blake is now a well known writer .

Blake is so happy  that he is now a writer but again feels guilty . Again pay's no mind to this feeling of guilt .

Max ask's " what is your third wish  blake ? "

Blake ask 's "  I want to a wife that I have alway's dreamed of ! "

Max snaps his fingers and gives  Blake's Dream Wife .

Blake can't believe he is finally married  but agin feels guilty . Again  pays no mind to this feeling of  guilt.

Max ask's " What is your forth wish ? ' 

Blake ask's "  i want  unlimited wisdom"

Max say's "   your forth wish will be granted but you are going to wish you did not  wish for unlimited  wisdom "  
Max snaps his fingers gives Blake unlimited wisdom.

When Blake  get's the unlimited wisdom , he realizes he made a huge mistake .

Blake realizes that house he wished for ,  was already someone else's house "  and  web he wished for house , the person who live and  owned the house became homeless .

Then Blake realizes the dream job he wished for  was taken from a the guy own the house he wished for .

Then Blake  Realizes  the dream wife he wished  was  the same guy who owned  the house he wished for and the dream he wished for.
Blake feel's is guilty  and ashamed for the wishes he made . 
Blake say's to  Max " Please undo all my wishes !"

Max answers sadly " I can't  remember ?  the one rule is i can not undo wishes ."
Max disappears  and leave's Blake to live with his consequences.

Blake now lives with guilt for the rest of his life that his wishes ruined someone's else life .


This is just  a story but  there is a point  in this story . The point   in this story is that nothing life comes easy , you have to patience and work hard to accomplish your goals and dreams .

Now you are probably thinking why this is on my mind , CAUSE IT BLOWS MY MIND THAT THEY CHOOSE THAT NAME !
 I mean theses days we want kid's not  to bully each other or beat each other up , right ?
So why would  you name you kid northwest ? Not that i want this kid when he gets older to get beat up but they have know he will get teased and beat up on the daily when gets older.
 Hopefully Kim  and Kanye will come to there senses change the kid's name to a proper name .




4.    WHY IS EVERYONE SURPRISED A ROD IS ON THE JUICE?!!!!!?
 Me being a Yankees fan , i was a little upset that A Rod was tested positive for steroids but was not surprised one bit . Want to know why ?  BECAUSE ITS BASEBALL!!!!!!!
 Not saying from day one of the great sport of baseball that people used roids  but sadly the use of roids has become the norm.  I don't think it is right to use roids ,  IF YOU HAVE A WEAKNESS  IN YOUR GAME , THEN USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE OR WORK ON IT !!!!!!!!!!
the truth is  that roid use will never stop in baseball, it's sad but the truth




3.     WHY ARE GIRL'S SO OBSESSED WITH BAD BOY'S AND GETTING HURT BY BAD BOY'S?

So lately i  have been looking for that one to share the rest of my life just like anyone else my age .
but I have  come to find girls don't like nice caring humble good guys like me ,  THEY WANT SCUMBAG BAD BOY'S !
 Come on ladies !!!!!! you have to a taylor swift I knew you were trouble when you walked radar  when comes to those  jerks.

All i am saying is give us good guys  a chance !!




2.     WHY ARE WE NOT ADDRESSING CHRISTIANS HAVING SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE?

don't get me wrong , i do understand  it's hard to wait but it  is worth the wait .
I wish i would have waited until marriage but now all i can do is warn people to wait until marriage.
Now let me get to the topic at hand ,   WHY SWEEPING THE ISSIUE OF CHRISTIAN'S HAVING SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE UNDER THE RUG?  After they repent  we go on like nothing happened , then when it happens again we repeat the same cycle over and over again ! not say we should not love o people and bring there sin up again and again but we need to nip this issue in the bud !
All i am saying this issue needs to addressed and come some to solution or something



1.   WHEN WE ARE GOING TO LEARN THAT RACE DOES NOT MATTER!
I have black , asian, Indian, native american , Italian , polish, Haitian,   Trinidadian , and white friends.
so why in 2013 is someone's skin still a issue?
We may came from different backgrounds  but we have one thing in common ,  WE BLEED THE SAME COLOR !
We need to stop the hate and come together !

WHAT IS HOPE ? BY BRIAN LEEMAN

What is Hope  to you ? What hope do you have in this life ?

It is very important to our  human existence that we have hope but what do you put  your hope in?

 Let's look at what is  Natural  Hope  and  what is Biblical Hope .


Natural Hope is wishful thinking  about something good happening  .

Biblical Hope is a firm confidence  from God about future issues because they are based on God's promises and revelation .


Lets look at what God's holy word say's about Hope .

Romans 8:24-25 says : ²⁴ For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.


The hope in these verse's   is talking about the Salvation  Jesus gives us when we repent.   Also these verse's  tell us hope is not in what we already have   but in what we don't have or have not see yet happen in our life's .

In this life we put too much in  things like  money , celebrity's , our friend's ,  and even our family member's . All of our hope needs and should be in Jesus . Not saying money celebrity's, and friend and family are bad but when the become you only source of hope , then you need recheck  where you hope should be in . 

Lets look at Hebrews 11:1 say abut faith and hope together  : 11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

When you are  truly saved  and strong in your walk with Jesus , you develop a confidence and a assurance that even though you can't see what lies ahead of you, you know that God is in control and that you will be ok .
