Don't Sugar Coat The Truth! By Brian Luke Leeman

2 Timothy 4:1-5

New International Version (NIV)
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry

One of  the biggest thing's as Christian  that annoys me  is   TV Evangelist's and Preachers  sugar coating God's Holy Word .

I 100 % believe that  if   you are  going to preach God's Holy Word , then you should not put your spin on it  and sugar coat God's Holy Word because you want more people to come  to your church or want to draw more viewers to program .

Matthew 7:15

New International Version (NIV)

True and False Prophets

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Today there is a lot of false Prophets , teachers ,  and preachers, way too many if you ask me.

People like benny hinn , rev. peter popoff ,  paula white,  kim clement ,  Kenneth copelend  ,  paul crouch, cerflo dollar ,  joel osteen , TD Jakes, so many more  have distorted the Gospel  and put there own spin on the gospel.
they preach stuff like  name it and claim it ,  you are gods , that you are not saved by grace, that you don't have to be born again to be saved ,  and deny the Trinity.

Titus 1:9

New International Version (NIV)
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

Titus 1:12-13

New International Version (NIV)
12 One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”[a]13 This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith

God Calls us to rebuke theses false teacher's who distort  God's Holy Word , not to call them out but  to help them to repent and come back to God .

We do need to make sure we know the Bible Good before we do rebuke because we need sure we have our facts right .

In closing, i leave you  with this qoute : Let us be on our guard against false doctrine. Unsound faith will never be the mother of really sound practice, and in these latter days, departures from the faith abound. See then that your loins be girded about with truth, and be very jealous of receiving anything which cannot be proved by the Bible. Do not think for a moment that false doctrine will meet you face to face, saying, “I am false doctrine, and I want to come into your heart.” Satan does not go to work in that way. He dresses up false doctrine like Jezebel — he paints her face and attires her hair, and tries to make her like truth. Do not think that those who preach error will never preach anything that is true. Error would do little harm if that was the case. No! Error will come before you mingled with much that is sound and scriptural.
