LEAN ON GOD ! BY BRIAN LUKE LEEMAN

As humans we at times think we have all the answers to our problems , our friends  problems ,  and the world's problems .

You  know what ?  we don't have all the answers !

Now don't get me wrong , it s ok  to ask for advice from people we consider wise but our main source should be God!

Proverbs 3:5-6

New International Version (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.[a]

 In Proverbs 3:5,  We are called to  trust  God with all hearts  and not lean on our own understanding . When we Lean on are own understanding we tend to fail or miss what God wants us to know/ he has for us .

In Proverbs 3:6 ,    We are called to submit our ways/ our life  to God and when we do that , God  will put life on the right path, now that does not mean life will be easy but with leaning on God's understanding  , you can deal with life's problems .

Here is a example of a time in my life  when i didn't lean on God's understanding.

Between the summer of 2011  and summer of 2012  i was looking for work , i was having a hard time  finding work and put myself into a depression .  I kept on saying i am doing all i am suppose too .
I was leaning on my understanding and others , i wasn't praying and asking God what i should i do    .
God blessed me with a opportunity to move to New york to live with a friend from bible college .
I was able to find a job there.   God showed he was in control and that i need to lean on him.

In closing i want to leave you with a Psalm and a quote .

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
